Mechanical artwork Film We accept film, emulsion down, imposed as printers pairs or as single pages provided there is no image across the join of pages. Screen rulings of up to 240lpi are acceptable. However, since the majority of our workflow is CTP (computer-to-plate), this may prove an expensive way of supplying artwork. Digital artwork File types We accept files in the following formats: Macintosh - Quark Xpress, v3.3 or later, saved as UK English version* - Adobe InDesign, version 2.0 or later - Adobe PageMaker, v.5 or later - Adobe Illustrator, v6.0 or later - Macromedia Freehand, v7.0 or later - Adobe pdf file format version 1.3 (Acrobat 3.0) or later. Please contact our repro department before supplying pdf files, as to work effectively for litho printing, they need to be created according to certain rules. Images should be CMYK and at a resolution of minimum 300dpi, maximum 600dpi. Tiff, eps, or jpeg format are acceptable. Bleed of minimum 3mm should be allowed on all trimmed edges of the job.
