Want to send us your artwork? If you are working in Adobe applications you can usually create clean print ready pdf files directly from the programmes. For highest quality and fewest problems use this PrintHouse preset or create your files using the PDF/X-1.a standard. If you are working in Quark Xpress, it is generally advisable to create PDF files through Acrobat Distiller after first separately writing a postscript file. You can load the same preset into Distiller before creating and checking your final PDF.

Please note that none of this will remove pre-existing problems in your files — if you have RGB images, transparencies applied over spot colours, incorrectly embedded fonts, white type set to overprint, or any of the other things that can bedevil pieces of artwork, you will either still have them after you have made your PDF, or the standards will prevent the files from being created.
