This is a nifty brochure format which makes the most out of a single piece of A4 paper or card folded twice.
The tri-fold brochure is popular with tourist attractions, hotels and museums. And because it’s essentially one A4 sheet printed on both sides, it’s a particularly competitive way to produce your brochure as well.
The tri-fold A4 brochure can be folded in either of two ways. The most common format is to take and a four piece of paper, hold it landscape and then fold twice. The folding can be carried out in one of two ways either with the two ends folding inwards towards the centre. Or in Z format where the A4 brochure opens in what you might think of as concertina fashion.
Less common, but sometimes still use, is a tri-fold A4 brochure which begins life as a four piece of paper held portrait. You would then fold the paper twice as described above and will end up with a landscape shaped brochure which is easiest imagined as looking like a standard sized compliments Slip when closed.
Either way, the finished format for a tri-fold A4 brochure is 99mm x 210mm.
